I had a day off from work today so guess what I did?? I slept in. Then I went shopping with Ronny (he turned 31 today!) and we filled up our wardrobe a little…nice! Did I mention that Ronny hates shopping? He survived LOL.

I have my last class of business administration tomorrow and after that I will meet with my girls back from school. I have known them for more than 20 years now and I think it’s really cool that we still find the time to meet 2-3 times a year.

I hope you all had a wonderful Happy Thanksgiving and are now hopping the stores for some Black Friday Sales.

Hope you all had a great start into the week. Ronny went to the doctor today to get his leg checked. Turns out he has an infection and needs to take antibiotics. Worst that can happen??? He needs more surgery! I don’t think I can handle this another time. Please pray that the antibiotics work.

Ronny got his last staples removed and is now on medication. He’s taking blood thinner. WOW you can really call us the young couple with the pills because I have to take medication for my Crohn’s disease as well!

We had to go to the ER today because Ronny had an hematoma on his leg which was bleeding. The doctor said it’s nothing we’d have to worry about. We didn’t even had to go to the ER! Well I was worried that something might have been wrong so I thought it’s better to have someone look at it. Glad it is nothing serious!

To celebrate Ronny’s recovery I have marked everything in my store at Digital Scrap Ink 35% off until the end of July!

I can’t believe it’s Monday again! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I spent my weekend at the hospital visiting Ronny most of the time. He is doing really great. Still sitting in a wheelchair because he’s not allowed to walk on his own yet. He is able to stand up and walk a few steps though. He’s not having any pain as well which is great! He might get released on Wednesday because he is progressing so well. I can’t wait to have him back home with me!!!

…is getting surgery as I type…I will call the hospital around 11am my time to check if everything went well. I doubt that I will be able to get anything done at work until then. I am really worried and I just want to know that he’s okay.

It has been a quite weekend!
Ronny and I didn't do much but relaxing. I am looking forward to another week off from work.
I'm really hoping that when I return to work on Feb 16 that things are back on track and we finally get to start working on our project.

Enough of my ramblings.

Ronny and I are going to visit my Dad and his girlfriend later. We are staying until Saturday.
Can you believe it another year is over!!!

I am hoping for an even better year in 2009.

Yes finally, I am off work until Jan 5...I so need this break.
I got my calendars binded right after I had finished work. I went home and got the calendars. Drove to that one place where I got them binded before. Turns out that the place was closed. Their business hours are from 10-1pm. Argh!!! It's not like I was in a hurry because it was close to 5pm and I knew that the other store that I was then driving to would close at 5pm.
Anyway, I made it in time!

Here are my beautiful calendars finished last minute like every year (I swear every year I plan on finishing them earlier!):





Aren't they gorgeous?? For the 8.5x11 double side calendar I used Dani Mogstad's Calendar Toppers and for the bottom I simply downloaded a .word document from the Microsoft Office website.
After adding the photos I simply added the toppers to a .word document. Actually, I wanted the topper to fit the whole page but then I thought I would run out of ink again (I can tell you this was a hassle. I didn't know that new epson printers, I have a stylus dx 7400, wouldn't allow other ink cartridges except their own ones. Now how stupid is this?).

Next I made a 4.25x11 birthday calendar with a cute freebie from Miss Vivi Designs.
This one is for my grandmother so she never misses a birthday of her children, grandchildren or great-grandchildren.

Another day with my English class today. It is just so much fun. The book I ordered from Amazon is also perfect for this class. I think I might want to go full time into adult education and teach English. Just so much fun and I would do what I love most and of course what I majored in: English.

Last night I found some time to scrap again. This time for the Royanna Fritschmann CT. I used her Sophisticated Momma kit.

It's another holiday here in Germany tomorrow. So I get to sleep in again.

Work is good. I have been teaching English twice a week now for the past two weeks. It's really fun. The course is running til June 24. Oh I don't even want to imagine how hot it will get in the classroom. No airconditioning and the sun in just burning into the room. Thank goodness for those window shades. They help a little but only if you shut them at 7.30am.
Alright I'm done with boring you.
